Mimsware recently completed a citywide Enterprise Assessment for the City of
Duluth. The company worked closely with City staff to develop a long term
technology strategy and address an immediate need to replace an Accounting
System by conducting a comprehensive look at their systems, infrastructure, and
related processes across all City departments. Armed with this information, and
recommendations for improvement, the City of Duluth will be able to plan its IT
growth for several years.

development of a Software Licensing
Server for HP’s Application Security Center. This server allows HP to
offer a flexible and innovative concurrent licensing solution in
addition to its seat-based model. Mimsware assisted with the
requirements and then was responsible for architecture, design, and
implementation of the
server. HP expects this server to increase software revenue by giving
customers
more licensing options across their enterprise.

Mimsware
recently completed an upgrade of General Wholesale Company’s (GWC) network at
its main offices in Atlanta. GWC, a liquor and beer distributor, is growing
fast and needed servers that could keep pace with that growth. To address this
need, Mimsware upgraded GWC’s single Windows Small Business Server network to
multiple role based Windows 2003 servers providing redundant Domain
Controllers, Email, File Storage, Backups, etc. The email system was upgraded
to 64-bit Exchange Server 2007. These changes provided a secure, scalable
network that allowed GWC to plan for future technology initiatives built around
their new infrastructure.
